POWER STATUS

Concept:
Power Status is a new basic game element that will provide a qualitative and quantitative rating about the country soft and hard power in the game world. It can then be used in any instance where a country performance and influence in the game should be accessed at a glance.
It also gives a final sense of purpose to the gameplay. What is best: Raising a country from the 95th place at game start to 21st by game's end or raising the 14th power at game start to 1st at game's end? Only the player can decide, but finally he has a way to gauge his performance.
Furthermore, he can at a glance check the level of power of any other nation and get his accurate ranking if performing the adequate spy mission.

Please, understand we are still using the same interface as EU3. An entirely new one, suitable for the new game will be built soon. however, rejoice as Ubik gave you a... special cookie with this screenshot!

MECHANICS
Descriptors: A wide array of different variables must be considered to create such an encompassing rating as this.
It will be described qualitatively by: Minor Holding, Small Country, Medium Power, Major Power and Great Power.

Rated Areas: Several areas of the country are rated using different elements with the same maximum score per area. The sum of the partials for each area determines where a nation stands in Power Status. Any single element that rate each area cannot contribute more than a set numer of points points for the overall rating in that area.
The areas are: Economy, Military, Social and Land Assets

Economy Rating:

Each owned CoT
Each merchant placed
Each Monopoly
Each presence in different CoTs
Top 10 Trade Efficiency (*)
Top 10 Production Efficiency (*)
Each 1000 gold in Treasury
Each 50 gold Yearly Income

Each Inflation %

Military Rating:

Each 1000 manpower
Each 20000 Infantry
Each 10000 Cavalry
Each 10000 Artillery
Discipline (*)
Each +18 Stars General (!)
Each Light Ship
Each Big Ship
Each +14 Stars Admiral (!)
Biggest Army in the World (%)
Biggest Navy in the World (#)
Top 10 biggest Army ($)
Top 10 biggest Navy ($)

Each 5 points War Exhaustion

(*) – Discipline % multiplies the score of the infantry, cavalry and artillery
(!) – The sum of all the stars pertaining to the commander quality should be considered
(%) – Numbers added and then multiplied by discipline
(#) – Simple sum of light and big ships
($) – These categories pertain the relative score of each when considering all the countries of the world.

Each 10% Prestige

Top 10 Placement Chance
Top 10 Compete Chance
Each 3 Stars of Advisors

Each Administration Efficiency Level
Holy Roman Emperor

Determining the Rating: To determine the actual Power Status of a country a list sorted by the overall scores must be created. After that,

The top 15% of scores are classified as Major Powers
The next 35% of scores are classified as Medium Powers
The next 30% of scores are classified as Small Countries
The final 20% of scores are classified as Minor Holdings

The 7 bigger countries classified as Major Powers will be classified instead Greater Powers, as long as the total sum of their score is equal or greater than a certain high ammount.


IMPLEMENTATION
Tooltip present in the new icon displaying the Power Status score and the partials of it, all separated by the four ratings given in percentage.
The effects should be present in the static_modifiers file. The effects will be kept in five distinct structures inside the static file: Minor_Holding, Small_Country, Medium_Power, Major_Power and Great_Power.


MODDING
A new trigger should be coded to detect he new Power Level. This will be one of the most important triggers for scripts in the game.

Finally, as you'll probably be craving for some screenshots and while telling the feel of the game graphics will be one in which the player feels he is looking at an accurate map with pieces to plan his next strategies, I can show you the figurine that will embody the Western European might in the new game:

Notice that we already have the figurine included in the game... but that is for a future Dev Diary!

GÜÇ DURUMU

Konsept:
*"Güç Durumu", oyun dünyasındaki ülkelerin sahip olduğu ekonomik[Hard Power] ve sosyal güçlerinin[Soft Power] nitelik ve nicelik bakımından karşılaştırılmasıyla ortaya çıkan yeni bir oyum elementidir.

*Eklenti, oyuncuya oynadığı oyunun son bir özetini sunuyor. Örneğin 95. sıradaki bir ülkeyi 21. sıraya yükseltmek ya da 14. sıradaki bir ülkeyi 1. sıraya çıkarmak gibi. Kısacası oyunun sonunda nereden nereye geldiğinizi kıyaslayabileceksiniz.

*Dahası, oyuncu herhangi bir ülkenin güç seviyseni öğrenebilecek ve casusluk operasyonlarıyla tam derecesini öğrenebilecek


Lütfen anlayış gösteriniz ki hala EU3'le aynı arayüzü kullanıyoruz. Oyuna uygun tamamen yeni bir arayüz yakın zamanda oluşturulacaktır. Buna rağmen, Ubik'in size yolladığı bu küçük görüntüyle sevinin!
