This is a Star Trek Fan-Art-Mod
Star Trek New Horizons download is exclusive to the paradox and steam community!
Star Trek New Horizons is a community-driven project aiming to deliver the best Star Trek game experience in the last 10 years. As this will be a total conversion we plan on creating a whole new canon static universe with proper factions, ships, portraits and storytelling. Prepare to relive your favorite Episodes and movies, this mod will guide you through the entire canon Star Trek timeline, starting in the year 2150 with ENT era up to the year 2400 and beyond. Explore strange new worlds, meet new civilizations, research the unknown, form a new federation and prepare to fight the upcoming threats to the galaxy.
As we are aiming for the gameplay to be enjoyable in singleplayer and in multiplayer, expect game balance to be a major part of our development.
- Static canon Galaxy
- 45 pre-scripted Star Trek canon races
- Factions with shipsets (others have generic ships): United Earth, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, The Dominion, Vulcan High Command, Gorn Hegemony, Kazon Sects

Please be aware that Star Trek New Horizons is still in alpha and therefore may be incompatible with other mods. We strongly recommend to deactivate other mods before playing New Horizons.
If you encounter any bugs we would very much appreciate if you let us know in our Bug report section forum
For updates on our progress and newest patches please check steamworkshop and the paradox forums. We are always searching for new contributors to our mod. If you want to participate in our project feel free to contact us on the forums or write us in steam.
We are also in close contact to the Star Trek modding group on the forums and are very open for further cooperation with other projects.
We have opened up a new thread for community event ideas. The idea behind it is that we will need lots of small Star Trek events and we would love the community to participate and help us with this. It Would be really cool if you could state your favorite Star Trek Episodes or stories and write them down in a short text. You dont need to worry about the coding behind the events, we will take care of that

Map and Setup:
Nyberrite Alliance added to Alpha/Gamma border
Fen Domar added to Beta/Delta border
Weapons and Systems: Starbases can now construct multiple weapon and shield upgrades - NOTE the starbase power indicator is not accurately reflecting power upgrades
Special ship components using more appropriate icons and localisation Added listening outpost space station Reduced sensor range of ships and planets Rebalnced number of Terraforming resources (at least doubled) Made civ trade optional
Added Listening Post (Builded via Military station build menu) 10x range of sensor
Reduced all sensor range (planets and ships)
Civ Trade is now optional at game start via event
Improved late game performance (mainly by turning off Civ trade)
Rebalance of Terraforming Resources (mainly doubled)
Added to the original static map the Fen Domar States (to border of beta/delta quadrants) and and Nyberrite Alliance (to border to alpha/gamma quadrants). Also added additional solar system initializers for certain star systems.
Added an alternative static map, which has more lore related features than the original map, but the alternative map is likely to be less balanced than the original. The map includes some randomization, so each star's initializers and position can vary from game to game.
Has better defined spirals
Randomises the position of the stars within the spirals each playthrough, providing slightly different tactical and strategic challenges each time you play it.
Includes over 300 named stars (from real life, and Star Trek, in all four quadrants) in approximately the correct direction from Sol, with dozens of specific system initializers.
Named stars all have the correct star class.
An individual set of initializers for galactic core stars.
Over 20 pre-warp races, each with a chance of spawning or not spawning in each particular game.
